Lang Son is a mountainous province in the northeast of the Vietnam, 155 kilometres to the northwest of Hanoi. It have a border with Cao Bang, Bac Giang, Quang Ninh, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen and Guangxi (China). Lang Son is the home to different ethnic groups such as Nung, Tay and Kinh, Dao, Hoa, San Chay, which contributes to the natural diversity and rich cultural identity of this province.

Long Tong traditional festival is a very well-known festival in Lang Son, tourists come here to learn more about the daily activities and enjoy roast duck, roast pig, Mau Son wine and lam rice.
